Cromer Academy Food Technology Classroom
Cromer Academy approached us, requesting a full turnkey food technology class solution. From start to finish, we helped the academy meet their requirement for a brand new food technology classroom which included some minor building works.
The project called for the installation of a range of important appliances, white goods and furnishing features – providing a comprehensive classroom for students to develop their interest in food technology.
As a full turnkey solution, it was our responsibility to oversee the entire project, managing all activity from start to finish. Initially we were forced to convene with authorities to attain building control approval before starting building works and installing structural steel work.
Implementing floor, lighting and furnishing from scratch called for a considered approach to the project – and the school benefitted from employing our help on all these matters. The furnishings were manufactured in-house at InterFocus, ensuring they were developed specifically to meet the demands and space constraints of the project.
We developed the worktops using Velstone solid surface worktops providing an inherently antibacterial surface for students to complete work upon. Highly resistant and strong, the material continuously proves to be well suited to food technology classrooms.
Maintaining a close contact with the school throughout the project, we were able to deliver on their criteria and meet all requirements. Taking roughly four weeks to complete, our team were able to install the classroom on time and on budget – ensuring that the school and the students were never disrupted throughout all aspects of the installation process.
